I love javascript, but only since I found jQuery. Without jQuery, I hate it.

It took JQuery to bring me back to Javascript too. 1 line of JQuery typically replaces 10 lines of raw JS.

Underscore is another cool library that is getting me back into JS in a serious way (http://documentcloud.github.com/underscore ).

I've discovered that there are more problems with Javascript dev tools than the actual language itself (such as your experience with Notepad). Firebug, and its myriad plug-ins, are a must have for JS development today.

Plus, you get true development "in the cloud" when using the browser and Firebug as IDE.

http://www.dfbuzz.com is an example of my return to JS using JQuery. I'm looking for other Force/Javascript Developers to join the cause :-)
